La Cocina has teamed up with Donaji, a beloved Oaxacan restaurant in San Francisco’s Mission District, to bring you a rotating dinner series featuring La Cocina-born businesses popping up on Wednesdays.
This month, Chef Norka Hernandez of Suyos Catering will be serving up her delicious Peruvian dishes on Dec. 3, 10, and 17 from 5-10PM.
After moving to the Bay Area, Norka earned her degree from the California Culinary Academy and spent several years honing her craft at Diablo Country Club. What began as informal catering for her local community soon has evolved into a passionate pursuit of entrepreneurship. With Suyos Catering, named after the Quechua word “Suyos,” meaning “regions,” Norka celebrates the rich diversity of Peruvian regional cuisines.
This unique collaboration is made possible thanks to Chef Isai Cuevas of Donaji, who is opening his restaurant doors to spotlight La Cocina’s talented entrepreneurs.
